Through our work, we aim to:
1. Fill the diversity gap in children's literature by publishing books that feature Black characters and experiences.
2. Provide authentic, engaging stories that promote positive representation, self-esteem, and a love for reading.
3. Support and uplift underrepresented communities by partnering with schools, libraries, and community organizations.
4. Foster a more inclusive and equitable future by amplifying diverse voices and perspectives in children's literature.
-Author Visits: Bring the magic of our books to life with in-person or virtual author visits. We will engage students with interactive readings, writing workshops, and discussions on writing, storytelling, diversity and representation. Perfect for classrooms, libraries, and story times.
-Mobile Book Fairs: We understand that many underrepresented communities have limited access to bookstores and diverse children's literature. That's why we offer mobile book fairs, bringing our inclusive books directly to schools, libraries, and community centers. Our mobile book fairs provide children with the opportunity to explore a wide range of diverse stories and connect with characters that reflect their own experiences.
-Literacy Workshops: Engage your students or patrons with our dynamic literacy workshops, designed to foster a love for reading, writing, and storytelling. We offer tailored workshops that explore strategies for incorporating diverse books into curricula, facilitating meaningful conversations about representation, and creating inclusive learning environments.
